Resumen
Introduction: In the contemporary world, changes in the world of work have had serious consequences for the health of workers, contributing to the labor force wear, to the precariousness and retraction of workers' rights. CEREST works with actions that can improve lives and relieve risks to workers. Aim: to verify what the literature shows us about the role of CEREST in the health of the worker, its consequences and attributions to Single Health System (SUS). Methodology: based on a narrative review of literature. The bibliographic search was developed in the Virtual Health Library (BVS), in the electronic databases Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Portal of Periodicals CAPES-MEC and electronic library that covers a selected collection of Brazilian scientific journals (SCIELO). Results: ten articles were analyzed, methodologically, five of them used the qualitative approach, three studies of reflection and two of the quantitative approach. Regarding the year of publication of the articles, two articles of 2012, two articles of 2013, one article of 2015, four articles of 2016, one article of 2017. Four categories emerged: primary attention in worker’s health, worker’s health policies, and management in the Single Health System, health-illness process in the worker and his notifications, and health vigilance of the worker. Conclusion: it was concluded that the work-related health work carried out by CEREST is still elementary, both in the area of health care and in the area of health education and vigilance.
