Resumen
The present work develops a proposal of a hybridization project for a power
cycle using two boilers, which will be assisted by solar energy concentrators (CSP) of
the linear Fresnel type. The industrial data used as the basis of the project belong to a
pulp industry located in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. This sector is growing in Brazil
and requires energy efficiency projects to improve its performance. Solar thermal
technologies that work as plants are developing on a global scale and, in Brazil,
researches are more favorable in the use of solar energy concentrators (CSP) in
parallel with steam generators within the industry, that is, the hybridization of a
cogeneration system for solar / biomass. The results of this work demonstrate that the
hybridization, using the solar concentrators, has energetic gains in the industrial plant.
It has been assumed that the solar field is designed to increase the temperature of the
condensed water to its saturated vapor state when delivered to the boiler. There was
a fuel consumption saving of 78,22% of black liquor and 79,83% of biomass (chip) after
the hybridization of the plant. The area calculated to meet this demand was 122,8
hectares of Fresnel solar collectors. Thus, it is confirmed the energy gain of this
technology, however, an economic study must be carried out to understand the viability
of the project.
