This article explains the peculiarities of the Access to Information Act (Federal Law 12 527 of 18 November 2011), which states that information of collective or general interest should be disclosed by public bodies spontaneously, proactive, regardless of requests, in addition to providing a list of minimum information that
agencies and public bodies are obliged to disclose on the Internet. The article also scales some concepts related to access to public information, as well as features and distinguish: what is public from what is personal and what is private. This article is divided into four chapters dealing respectively: The Constitutional Right of Access
to Information Act on Access to Information, Transparency in Public Administration and Citizens Information Service, with the primary objective to establish links with the Law of Access laws already established and, confronting the law in force in the current scenario trying to find the best applicability of the same by all institutions making use of the public machine, and thus address the effects of the law and the consequences of the transfer of information in some aspects of Brazilian society.
