The research was conducted in order to determine the effect of cutting height and nitrogen fertilization on the yield of kikuyu grass (Pennisetum clandestinum Hochst) and the production and stability of the mixture with white clover (Trifolium repens L) in the zone of Tumbaco, Pichincha, to 2465 elevation, a RCBD with four replications and a 2x5 +1 factorial arrangement was used. Experimental cuts were made when the grass reached 20 and 40 cm, three samples from each plot were taken with the help of a metal quadrant of 0.25m2. Nitrogen fertilization, between 0 and 60 kg N ha -1 cutting -1increased the CT, the number of tillers, number of nodes on stolons, length and weight of the kikuyu stolons persquare meter. The percentage of digestibility of kikuyu only increased with the level of N applied to the soil from 38.0 % to 55.5 % without N with 60 kg N ha-1 cutting -1, when the grass reached 20 cm in height and from 34.5 % without N up to 51.2 % with 60 kg N ha- 1 cutting-1 when the grass reached 40 cm in height. The digestibility of kikuyu association with white clover was 62 %
