Resumen
En Trujillo, Venezuela, se desarrolla
el programa Redes Socialistas de
Innovación Productiva (RSIP), aplicado
en varias organizaciones agrícolas; en
el rubro papa existen la Cooperativa
Agrícola El Frailejón (CAEF) y Asociación
Civil Agrícola Tuñame (ACAT), localizadas
en las Parroquias Tuñame y Cabimbú
del Municipio Urdaneta de la entidad
Trujillana. En estas organizaciones se
realizó esta investigación con el objetivo
de evaluar la sustentabilidad social de
las RSIP de papa; está enmarcada en
el paradigma cualitativo con enfoque
de investigación acción participativa. La
metodología utilizada fue una adaptación
de la propuesta de Altieri y Nicholls
(2002); ésta permitió construir, valorar y
evaluar participativamente los indicadores
de sustentabilidad social, así como
reflexionar sobre los puntos críticos que
estaban afectando la sustentabilidad
social de ambas organizaciones; entre los
indicadores que no presentaron variación
se encuentran: Infraestructura de apoyo,
diversificación de la producción y alianzas
inter productores e interinstitucionales. Por
su parte, los indicadores con movimientos
significativos fueron: Cantidad y calidad de
la semilla, consolidación de la organización
y valores cooperativistas. Por último se
determinó el umbral de sustentabilidad de
ambas redes, con índices de 5 (CAEF) y
6 (ACAT) respectivamente, estos valores,
las clasifican como medianamente
sustentables. 75-87 montillana03@ gmail.com paradasmanuel@gmail.com In Trujillo, Venezuela, it is developed the
program Socialist Networks of Productive
Innovation (RSIP), applied in several
agricultural organizations; in the case
of potato, two of such RSIP (CAEF and
ACAT), located in the Parishes Tuñame
and Cabimbú were investigated. The
study aimed at evaluating the social
sustainability of the RSIP of potato and
qualitative techniques were also applied.
The methodological proposal of Altieri and
Nicholls (2002) were followed to construct,
to value and to evaluate the indicators of
social sustainability, as well as to reflect
on the tactically important points that were
affecting the social sustentabilidad of both
organizations. Among the indicators that
did not present/display variation were:
Infrastructure of support, producing and
interinstitutional diversification of the
production and Inter alliances. On the
other hand, the indicators with significant
movements were: Amount and quality of
the seed, consolidation of the organization
and cooperative values. Results show that
these RSIP have medium sustainability
with index 5 (CAEF) and 6 (ACAT)
respectively.
