Os maiores valores de µTBS foram observados sob efeito do ciclo quente Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of different temperature cycles on the bond strength (?TBS) and nanoleakage commercial adhesive systems (conventional, self-etching and universal). For this study were selected human molars recently extracted (n=10). The roots of the teeth were cut 1 mm below the cement-enamel junction the enamel was separated using a two faces diamond disc. The teeth were divided in three groups: Single Bond 2 (etch-and-rinse), Clearfill SE bond (self-etch) and Single bond Universal (universal). Latter, the surface of etched dentin was built up with resin composite with 6 x 4 x 4 mm. Then the specimens were sectioned in sticks (1 x 1 mm) and subjected to the following thermal cycles: The samples were fixed in the universal testing machine for the microtensile strength test with a speed of 0.5 mm / min. The type of fracture was analyzed in a scanning electron microscope and classified as adhesive, mixed, cohesive in resin and cohesive in dentin. To calculate the area of infiltrated hybrid layer images with 1000 x magnification of the central regions and the ends of the sticks were evaluated with software Image J (Imag J 1.42q, Wayne Rasband, National Institutes of health, USA). The outcomes of micro µTBS and nanoleakage were analyzed with ANOVA two way and Tukey test (p <0.05). The traditional and cold cycles were provided similar values of bond strength in Single Bond 2, while the hot cycle showed the highest value, different from the other groups. The traditional cycle presented the lowest value of TBS for Clearfil SE Bond and Single Bond Universal for the hot cycle the best values, both statistically similars, the cold cycle presented intermidiate values. When adhesives were compared between each cycle, the traditional cycle presented similar statistical values. For cold and hot cylces the lowest value was for Single Bond 2, being statistically diferent compared to Clearfil SE and Single Bond Universal. The thermal cycles (5/ 37/ 55° C; 5/ 37° C e 37/ 55° C) promoted diferents effects on the Bond Strength and nanoleakage for adhesive systems (universal, self-etch and rinse-and-etch). The best values of TBS were for hot cycle Mestrado Materiais Dentarios Mestre em Materiais Dentários CAPES
