Quartz crystal microbalance expanded capability for studying CuCl crystal formation on copper surfaces
Chemphyschem. Wiley-v C H Verlag Gmbh, v. 3, n. 9, n. 817, n. +, 2002.
He ain't heavy: CuCl microcrystals that formed on a copper electrode (see SEM image) caused a peculiar mass and friction response of a quartz crystal microbalance. In this work, the correct interpretation of the role played by the changing solid-liquid contact area allowed us to separate the friction and mass contributions observed. Thanks to this approach, important features of the formation of microcrystals have been revealed.39817+
