Resumen
A TCF (Xylanase-Ozone-Hydrogen Peroxide-XZP) bleaching sequence on two Eucalyptus grandis kraft pulps with pre- and non-oxygenated treatment was applied. During the bleaching of non-oxygenated pulps two different induced enzymes and distinct enzymatic charges were used. The pulps were characterized by kappa number, viscosity, ISO-brightness, glucose, xylose and metals contents. The soluble lignin and sugar contents in the effluents also were determined. The results indicated a positive enzymatic effect on pulp bleaching in both cases with the most expressive differences between xylanase-treated pulps and their respective controls found on non-oxygenated pulps. The same study did not detect any important improvement on pulp bleachability when the enzymatic charge or incubation time with the enzyme were increased. Finally, in the Eucalyptus grandis kraft pulp the eucalyptus induced enzyme appears more active on TCF sequence than in the birch one. 3
