Resumen
The increase in the incidence of HIV infection among women has motivated this rewiew. Risk factors for heterosexual and vertical transmition as well as Physiopathology of infection in the female genital tract are discussed based on recent scientific publication. Vaginal immunology, vulvovaginitis and gynaecological actitudes toward the pandemy are outlined. 54 5 309 320 Alexander, N.J., Sexual transmission of human immunodeficiency virus: Virus entry into the male and female genital tract (1990) Fertil.
