Influence Of The Donor Strength Of The Ligands On The Structure Of The Hexacoordinated Complexes Of Tin(iv) Chloride. A Vibrational Spectroscopy Study

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) Twenty three tin(IV) tetrahalide adducts with various monodentate ligands, cis- and trans- L2·SnX4, were studied by IR and Raman spectroscopy at room temperature and above. The observed SnX stretching frequencies as well as the structure, are correlated with the donor number of the ligands.
