Resumen
La presente investigación busca analizar cómo los estudiantes expatriados peruanos vivieron su experiencia de proceso de adaptación intercultural con extranjeros en el país huésped según las cuatro etapas del modelo Curva U de Lysgaard con el uso de las redes sociales y aplicaciones. La investigación se enfocará en estudiantes peruanos de 18 a 26 años que viajaron a un país extranjero europeo a vivir por un mínimo de un año y medio, se aplicará una metodología cualitativa de diseño fenomenológico con la aplicación de entrevistas como técnica de recolección de datos y una guía de entrevistas realizada para el modelo de adaptación intercultural con el uso de redes sociales y aplicaciones. Los resultados principales demuestran que el estudio sí cumple con el modelo de adaptación intercultural, además de un uso considerable de redes sociales durante todo el proceso de adaptación por parte de los entrevistados, por lo que podemos concluir que las experiencias vividas por los estudiantes peruanos expatriados en su proceso de adaptación intercultural con extranjeros en el país huésped fueron experiencias que sí siguieron los lineamientos de la teoría de adaptación intercultural de Lysgaard y el uso de las redes sociales y aplicaciones ayudó de forma positiva a su proceso de adaptación intercultural. This research seeks to analyze how Peruvian expatriate students lived their intercultural adaptation process experience with foreigners in the host country according to the four stages of Lysgaard's U-Curve model with the use of social networks and applications. The research will focus on Peruvian students from 18 to 26 years old who traveled to a foreign European country to live for a minimum of a year and a half, a qualitative methodology of phenomenological design was used with the application of interviews as a data collection technique and a guide of interviews carried out for the intercultural adaptation model with the use of social networks and applications. The main results show that the study does comply with the intercultural adaptation model, in addition to a considerable use of social networks throughout the adaptation process by the interviewees, so we can conclude that the experiences lived by expatriate Peruvian students in their intercultural adaptation process with foreigners in the host country were experiences that did follow the guidelines of Lysgaard's intercultural adaptation theory and the use of social networks and applications positively helped their intercultural adaptation process.
