In Colombia it is a product destined for commercial production and for food safety; it is generally cultivated in a conventional way and as a habitual method of pest control the excessive application of chemical products is used. Meloidogyne spp. it is one of the main problems in cultivated soils, because it can reduce up to 68% of the total production; The bacteria of the genus Bacillus are a positive alternative for the biological control of the pathogen. The promising response of tomato germplasm and native bacteria of the genus Bacillus in the presence of the nematode (Meloidogyne spp.) on yield and fruit quality in four genotypes (IAC 1687, Coly 007, Hybrid commercial and commercial variety. The research was carried out at the Montelindo farm of the University of Caldas located in the municipality of Palestina Caldas at an altitude of 1,050 masl, with an average temperature of 22.8°C, average annual rainfall of 1,800 mm and relative humidity of 76%. The experimental design was divided plots with complete blocks at random, each one with 7 treatments and 3 repetitions, the experimental unit consisted of 6. The variables evaluated were: Yield (t/ha), number of total fruits (NFT), average weight fruit (PPF) (grams), soluble solids content (CSS) (°Brix), firmness (kg. f). The analysis of variance (ANAVA) for the genotype was carried out using the SAS software, the treatments or interactions that presented significant results, Duncan's multiple range tests were subsequently applied to define the most effective alternatives on the agronomic behavior of the tomato crop in the presence of of the nematode. IAC 1687 and Commercial Hybrid presented significant differences (P<0.05) on yield between genotypes, reaching an average of 18.38 and 16.20 t/ha; the interaction genotype*treatment only Commercial Hybrid presented significant differences in interaction with the commercial biological product (PBC) treatment (i.a. Bacillus subtilis, race (QTS 713), similarly, with the same treatment IAC 1687 expressed the highest performance (21, 1 and 21.8 t/ha respectively) presenting increases of 34 and 18% respectively compared to the results of the Control treatments with nematodes (TNEM), although the treatments with native bacteria did not present significant differences, they demonstrated to maintain the yields in 2 presence of the nematode.Only COLY 007 presented significant differences with respect to NFT, being the control without nematodes (TSNEM) who reported the highest average (141 fruits); only IAC 1687 and COLY007 presented significant differences in PPF, reporting the highest averages in interaction with the Bacillus infantis treatment. GIBI177 (31.09 and 31.94 grams respectively) demonstrating increases of 64 and 66% compared to what s results obtained by TNEM. The evaluated germplasm presented significant differences (P<0.05) regarding the quality variables: soluble solids (CSS) content (°Brix) and firmness whose results were inversely proportional between the types of tomato, exposing IAC 1687 as the variety with the best performance (6.5 °Brix) against the CSS variable and the commercial Hybrid as the genotype with the most firm fruits (1.75 kg. f). The comparisons of the means obtained from the treatments against the quality variables showed that only the CSS variable presented significant differences, with TSNEM being the treatment with the highest average value (5.3°Brix). The genotype*treatment interaction showed that in interaction with the PBC treatment, the IAC 1687 variety reached the highest CCS (7.5°Brix) and the commercial Hybrid obtained the highest firmness value (1.90 kg. f) values 3 and 10% higher than those reached by TNEM respectively. In relation to the native bacteria, Bacillus subtilis GIBI200 exerted the greatest effect on the CSS in the Commercial Hybrid and Commercial Variety genotypes (4.7 and 4.2°Brix respectively), in addition, with the same strain, the firmness turned out to be influenced in the commercial varieties. and IAC 1687. The IAC material stood out in this study as showing promise for its inherent desired attributes in performance and quality characteristics. It was shown that the response of tomato germplasm in interaction with bacteria of the genus Bacillus in the presence of Meloidogyne spp. was positive when demonstrating that the production and quality of the fruit remained higher with the influence of biological treatments.
