world. In most environments it is considered a weed; thus, what has been written in the past
about bluegrass has been primarily concerned with how to control it. The study was
conducted from September 2019 until March 2020 at the Tesorito Farm of the University of
Caldas. The phenological development of the arvense Poa annua was evaluated in the same
area The sowing was distributed in three blocks with an área of 6 m
2 each and eight plants
per block. Samples were taken on five plantas in each of the developmental stages
(vegetative, floral initiation, flowering, fruiting and seed dispersión), for a total of
twenty-five samples per block.Variables evaluated were height and number of leaves.
Samples were taken to the laboratory to obtain dry weight and thus calculate dry matter and
relative growth rate (RER). Leaves are the ones that grow the most according to the TCR
trend. The percentage of root contribution to dry weight was lower than that of leaves in all
stages, and greater than inflorescences in stage two, three and five, and less participation in
the fruiting stage. The highest average height was obtained in the seed dispersal stage, due to
the fact that plants reached its maximum growth. On day 105 after sowing, the lowest
average number of leaves in all the stages was obtained. Dedicatoria / Agradecimientos / ESTUDIO FENOLÓGICO DE Poa annua EN LA GRANJA TESORITO DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE CALDAS / RESUMEN / 1.
