Parmalat es una de las empresas l?deres en el sector alimenticio y m?s espec?ficamente en la industria de los l?cteos con un portafolio de 213 de productos, generados en cinco plantas en Colombia y comercializados en diferentes canales de distribuci?n tales como: Trade marketing, Marcas Propias, Auto venta, Canal Moderno, Superetes, Food Service, Canal Tradicional y Dealers, en los cuales se generan diferentes estimaciones de ventas seg?n el fragmento del mercado. La informaci?n de las estimaciones es tomada por el ?rea log?stica, la cual est? encargada de revisar los despachos necesarios para el cumplimiento. Adem?s, esta ?rea agrupa los pron?sticos y la entrega al ?rea de producci?n para que esta se encargara de revisar la disposici?n de personal y de m?quinas. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo aplicar un modelo MRP (Planeaci?n de Requerimiento de Materiales) en una de las f?bricas de Parmalat en Colombia, asentado en un an?lisis te?rico pr?ctico y as? ?proponer un modelo de gesti?n para el abastecimiento de materias primas e insumos para la planta de Parmalat en Ch?a? con el fin de mejorar la productividad y nivel de servicio para la compa??a, teniendo en cuenta factores como la revisi?n de literatura con un marco te?rico estructurado con conceptos propios del abastecimiento de materiales y adicional distintos conceptos de la investigaci?n de operaciones que conducen a mejorar la toma de decisiones por medio de modelos aplicativos que se ajusten al proceso actual de Parmalat Colombia. Due to the need of global organizations and the dynamic behavior that forecast often have because of the uncertainty produced by markets and the intern impact in the companies such as shortage and others in the organizational supply chain, it shows the urge of making a management job for the company Parmalat, located in Chia ? Cundinamarca.
Parmalat is one of the leader companies in the food industry, specifically in the dairy industry with a wide portafolio, 213 products produced in 5 factories along Colombia and commercialized through different distribution channels like: trade marketing, self branding, modern channel, food service, convenience stores, traditional channel and dealers; these channels generate an outlook of the monthly sales amount which is transfer to the logistics area in charge of delivering the orders. Also, the forecast is transferred to the production department to arrange the personnel and machines readiness. The problematic here is that mentioned forecast only take into account the commercial, logistics and production areas leaving aside one of the most important department that helps to assures the optimal productive cycle in the company. This department is the raw materials and packaging warehouse, controlling the production supply, which, as a result of the exclusion causes: production stoppage, breach of deadlines, low costumer service level, negative factory productivity and a huge impact in the reliability of the factory. That?s why the urge of the management job for this factory, which is not only the biggest but it contributes with 60% of the production volume in the country.
Hence, the objective of this document is to apply a ?Materials Requirement Planning? MRP in one of the factories of this company, based in a theorical ? practical analysis to ?propose a management job for the raw materials supply chain in the factory located in Chia? Obj 1; this focused in improving the productivity and the service level for the organization, considering elements contained in the theoretical framework being material supply and operations research to achieve the best strategy when taking decisions throughout models that adjust the process in Parmalat Colombia. (general objectives).
To accomplish the objectives of this investigation, a descriptive case study was made, semi structured, by means of observation and documental revision as the base of the MRP strategy modeling. There were suggested four development stages corresponding to the diagnosis, the design of the MRP tool adjusted to the organization, strategy implementation and the establishment of the appraisal indicators. It is expected that the secondary products of this study improve the production processes in this location and cause a growing interest towards the missional process systematization in the industry.
For processing the data it was used Excel as main database, where planning and controlling the demand based on the factory needs will be easier. Galeon and SAP are the management platform use by the organization for checking daily transactions and nurturing the main database.
