estrategias que les ha permitido su consolidación y crecimiento en el país;
ABSTRACT: A growing participation of religion based political movements has been observed in
the past decades in the public scenario both in Colombia and in Latin America,
which gives account of new reconfigurations within the relationship between
religion and politics, as opposed to theories that predicted a disenchantment of
religion. What we have today is new ways in which these two institutions interact.
The present thesis, is based in the question of power within the relation of the IDMJI
Church and its political party MIRA, beyond the social dynamics and the strategies
which have allowed them to consolidate and grow in the country proposing a new
approach that oversees the concept of power, as something more than just
domination.
