| dc.description | En este trabajo se describe la caracterizaci?n anat?mica y no anat?mica de la madera de las especies Isertia laevis (Triana) B. M. Boom; Qualea lineata Stafleu; Simarouba amara Aubl y Vismia baccifera (L) Triana & Planch, provenientes de la regi?n del Bajo Calima, encontr?ndose reportados estudios anat?micos ?nicamente para las especies del S. amara y V. baccifera. En esta regi?n la madera de las cuatro especies es comercializada ilegalmente en forma de tucas y varas. A cada especie se le describieron sus caracter?sticas organol?pticas seg?n V?squez y Ram?rez (2011), macrosc?picas gu?a de Bascop? (1962), microsc?picas lineamientos de IAWA (1989) y no anat?micas metodolog?a de Richter y Dallwitz (2000). Se observaron diferencias entre las cuatro especies en aspectos como el color de la madera, tipo de textura, agrupaciones de poros, presencia de estructuras secretoras y sustancias minerales, adem?s de todos los valores cuantitativos y en 5 de las 6 pruebas no anat?micas realizadas. Las semejanzas que se presentan entre estas especies son su lustre de mediano a alto, porosidad difusa, poros diagonales, platinas de perforaci?n simple, punteaduras intervasculares alternas y combusti?n de astilla es de ceniza completa. Este trabajo contribuye a la generaci?n de nuevo conocimiento, mediante la identificaci?n de algunas especies procedentes de los bosques h?medos tropicales del pac?fico colombiano, siendo una herramienta de suma importancia para la vigilancia y el control de la madera ilegalmente comercializada en la regi?n. | |
| dc.description | ABSTRACT. In this paper the anatomic and non-anatomic characterization of the wood species Isertia laevis (Triana) B. M. Boom; Qualea lineata Stafleu; Simarouba amara Aubl y Vismia baccifera (L) Triana & Planch, coming from the Bajo Calima region are described, finding anatomic studies reported about the S. amara and V. baccifera. Besides in this region wood of these four species is merchandized illegally in sticks and slabs. All the species? organoleptic characteristics according to V?squez y Ram?rez (2011), macroscopic guide by Bascop? (1962), microscopic guidance of IAWA (1989) and non-anatomic methodology by Richter y Dallwitz (2000). Differences among the four species in aspects such as the wood?s color, the type of texture, the pore?s grouping, the presence of secretion structures and mineral substances, were observed; besides all the quantitative and in 5 out of 6 non-anatomic tests that were conducted. The similarities that are present among these species are their medium to high shine, blurred porosity, diagonal pores, simple drilled planks, intravascular dotted and chip?s combustion is completely ash. This paper contributes to the generation of new knowledge by means of the identification of some species originated from the humid tropical forests, being a tool of relevant importance for the vigilance and control of the illegally commercialized wood in the region. | |
