De los edificios anacrónicos que podemos encontrar en la comuna de Santiago está la tipología correspondiente a los antiguos cines-teatros de barrio, que producto de la obsolescencia funcional que los afecta se encuentran hoy en día en situación de deterioro, abandono o simplemente son demolidos.
En la tarea de reincorporar, tanto programática como espacialmente, estos edificios históricos a la vida urbana actual, esta investigación se enfoca en la exploración del potencial de adaptabilidad de esta tipología arquitectónica frente a nuevos requerimientos de uso. Centrándose exclusivamente en evaluar los aspectos físico-espaciales de estos edificios, de tal manera poder identificar su grado de modificación y las características menos susceptibles a intervenir.
A través de la comprensión de la dimensión físico-espacial de estos edificios, junto con la identificación de las carencias y afinidades que la normativa patrimonial de la comuna ejerce sobre ellos, se pretende establecer las primeras recomendaciones de actuación que permitan direccionar posibles futuros proyectos de intervención. One of the anachronistic buildings that we can find in the city of Santiago, is the typology corresponding to the old cinemas and neighborhood theaters, which, as a result of the functional obsolescence that affects them, nowadays are in a state of deterioration, abandonment or they are just being demolished.
In the task of reincorporate, both programmatically and spatially, these historical buildings into the current urban life, this research explores the potential adaptability of this architectural typology in order to face new usage requirements. Focusing exclusively on evaluate the physical-spatial aspects of these buildings, to identify their degree of modification and the characteristics least susceptible to intervention.
Through the understanding of the physical-spatial dimension of these buildings, with the identification of the deficiencies and affinities that the patrimonial norm of the city exerts on them, it is intended to establish the first recommendations for action that could allow possible future projects of intervention.
