The relationship between reality and mathematical knowledge suggests, from an educational perspective, studies that present ways on how to generate other meanings of mathematical knowledge, without ignoring the multiple frameworks that have been formulated and used in this regard. In that sense, from a qualitative approach, an experimentation in the formation of the Mathematics teacher in Chile is constructed. To this end, a conceptual framework of mathematical modeling is proposed, which consists of: theoretical constructs regarding the conception of mathematical modelling, modelling cycle from an individualized approach to knowledge, modelling competencies and modelling levels. With this, a course is proposed that studies the teaching of mathematical modelling directed to the initial formation of the professor of mathematics; Composed of 15 sessions, which emerge from the conceptual framework enunciated and planned from validated theoretical experiences -as is the theoretical framework of Borromeo- Ferri for the teaching of modelling-. Through a methodological analysis with the MTSK model, results are highlighted for the reflective development of the students in the course of the experience, towards the knowledge they have as students and as future teachers, evidenced from the understanding of knowledge in all subdomains of the Domain MK and the subdomain KMT. One of the results reflects the questioning of the separation of reality and mathematics, which effectively assumes the conceptual framework used. This motivates from the data and the reflection, the task of making explicit a modeling that is distinguished from the traditional vision that coined the curriculum; For this, a basal difference is presented with respect to the unit that defines the mathematical modeling, which is called a theoretical variety of mathematical modeling, which is initiated with the questioning of the aforementioned separation. With the Socioepistemological Theory an approximation to this variety is presented: recognizing the principle that distinguishes itself from the unit that has repercussions in the transformation of the modeling conception and the way of articulating the knowledge that is put in play, to generate theoretical instruments that propitiate the mathematical knowledge resignificationfrom the uses. After clarifying the distinctions between the two positions, a category of modeling is proposed from the socioepistemological program to analyze the use of the mathematical knowledge of a community of architects and to establish the relations of the knowledge that come into play with that category.
