| dc.description | O presente trabalho pretende encontrar as bases que sustentam o dólar como moeda chave do Sistema Monetário Internacional, buscando responder se a “Crise do Subprime” representa o colapso desta centralidade da moeda estadunidense. Para tanto, será utilizada uma abordagem schumpeteriana que coloca a inovação tecnológica no centro do modelo explicativo. Desta feita, parte-se de um estudo do conceito de “Paradigma Técnico- Econômico” desenvolvido pela autora venezuelana Carlota Perez. Em seguida, mostra-se como estes ciclos tecnológicos dentro dos Estados Unidos traduziram-se em uma ciclicidade nas relações entre Estado e burguesia, que tomaram a forma de pactos sociais e pactos de elites. Finalmente, demonstra-se como estes arranjos institucionais determinam o Sistema Monetário Internacional. | |
| dc.description | This paper intends to find the bases that sustain the dollar as the key currency in the International Monetary System, trying to answer if the "Subprime Crises" represents the collapse of the American currency centrality. Therefore, a Schumpeterian approach that places innovation in the center of the explicative model shall be used. Hence, this paper starts by studying Carlota Perez's concept of "Techno-Economic Paradigm". After that, it is shown how these technologic cycles in the United States were translated into a cyclic pattern in the relations between the State and the bourgeoisie, which took the shape of "Social Pacts" and "Elites Pacts". Finally, it is demonstrated how these institutional sets determine the International Monetary System. | |
