Kidney failure is a condition in which the kidneys stop working and cannot eliminate waste and extra water from the blood or keep the body's chemicals in balance. Another definition indicates the persistent presence greater than 3 months of structural or functional alterations. The purpose of the study will be to determine the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment by arteriovenous fistula, treated at the Dial-Rios Hemodialysis Clinic, city of Babahoyo during the period November 2019 - March 2020. The methodology used was qualitative and quantitative, The sample consisted of 53 users of the Dial-Rios hemodialysis unit, city of Babahoyo. The influence of both physical and emotional state is evidenced in 56% of related patients in their relationships and indicate that their kidney disease greatly influences their daily lives, it takes a lot of time and what is striking is that most consider them to be a burden on your family which would affect your quality of life. The proposed proposal composed of a Self-Care Plan based on the Dorothea Orem model in users of the Dial-Rios hemodialysis clinic in the city of Babahoyo.
