Resumen
We have carried out deep BVR surface photometry of 6 cD and cD-like galaxies using the 2.1-m telescope at San Pedro Mrtir, cD galaxies are supergiant galaxies (M>1013M) with enormous halos (>100 kpc in radius) surrounding a giant elliptical galaxy, found generally at the centre of rich clusters (Oemler 1976, Schombert 1988). The surface brightness profiles of their halos (envelopes) break from the r1/4 law, containing more light at large radii (Schombert (1988)), although a detailed 1 and 2 dimensional analysis of their morphology has yet to be carried out. There have been four main theories as to the origin of cD envelopes (Schombert (1988) and references within), a) stripping of stars from other cluster member galaxies, b) formation of galaxy and envelope at the same time during the formation of the cluster, c) mergers of cluster members, which do not easily explain the high velocity dispersions in the envelopes (? 1000 km s1), d) cooling flows: accumulation of cooling X-ray-emitting ICM gas around the central galaxy. Very red envelopes have been found around some cD's, and star formation biased towards lowmass stars in cooling flows were invoked to explain these red halos, but the expected very bright near-IR halos were not detected (Joy et al. 1995 and references within). Previous detailed studies of cD galaxies (e.g. Mackie 1992) found a range of colour gradients. Miracle Lopez, S.",,"2012",,"Background: There are several publications related to the use of premixed insulin analogs in Type 1 and 2 Diabetes Mellitus, however, there was no information about its use in the Mexican clinical practice. Materials and methods: A survey was conducted to 48 physicians experts in Diabetes Mellitus. They were endocrinologists (62%), Internists (32) and diabetologists (6%). Results: Twenty-four percent of the specialists pointed out that more than half of the patients who consult by the first time do not respond to treatment with oral hypoglycemic medication. A high number of patients treated with insulin reach glycemic control goals. Most of the experts treat more than half of their patients with insulin. Sixty-six percent of the experts use premixed insulin analogs in their patients with type 1 Diabetes, and a high percentage use them in type 2 Diabetes. Most of the expert physicians recommend the use of premixed insulin analogs as the first line treatment in their patients diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Conclusions: Premixed insulin analogs are widely accepted by patients because they offer a complete coverage of their metabolic requirements, reducing the number of daily injections. In type 1 Diabetes, premixed insulin analogs will be used to improve metabolic control and to strengthen compliance. The initial hypothesis departs from the consideration of the scarce social capital of organizations that limits development's sustainability. The research method employed is the ethnographic complemented with field work supported by informal interviews, documental and bibliographic research. The hypothesis of this research is proved empirically and confirms similar findings by the research conducted on the mainstream theory of social capital and its implications on economic development. The outcomes of the application demonstrate that the drama of economic efficiency and sustainable development of micro-business is tied to constrain of social capital. This finding has implications for the design and implementation of economic and social policies oriented towards the improvement of economic growth and sustainable development. " 2012 Springer-Verlag.
