The effect of immunostimulant mixture (IM) consisting of four lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and yeast (heat-killed) on the survival and immunological parameters of Litopenaeus vannamei was evaluated. The infective inoculum consisted of four isolates selected by its greater hemolytic activity of a total of 30 presumptive Vibrio isolates, 25 of which were isolated from hepatopancreas and 5 from gut of L. vannamei. Shrimps showed mortalities after inoculation with 2 x 105 CFU of a mixture of the isolated VPC18, VHPC23, VHPC24 and VIC30 identified as Vibrio sinaloensis (EU043381). The calculated LD50 was equal to 8.12 x 105 CFU, which was used to challenge the shrimps treated with the IM (2 x 106 CFU / g) at different time intervals. The results show a 100 % survival for the Treatment I (Control I; Camaronina + Dry Oil (DO) + saline solution 2.5 % NaCl); while Treatment II (Control II; Camaronina + DO + LD50 of vibrios), survival was 70 %. Treatment III (Camaronina + DO + IM + LD50 of vibrios daily) demonstrated a 90 % survival. Treatment IV (Camaronina + DO + IM every 3 days + LD50 of vibrios) presented a survival of 93.3 % and treatment V (Camaronina + DO + IM every six days + LD50 of vibrios) showed 86.7 % survival.
