Resumen
Most studies for implementation of access networks are generally focused on countries where their areas have high population density, this optimization seeks to provide solutions in countries and cities with a similar reality of Arequipa, whose population densities are lower and where the number of buildings in a square kilometer is almost none. This paper provides a graph which can relate the population density and the optimal topology to save optical fiber costs in a theoretical implementation of a distributed GPON network using distribution and access splitters.
