Caracterización clínica y epidemiológica de otitis media crónica supurativa en pacientes pediatricos de 6 a 11 años

Introducción. La otitis media supurativa crónica (OMSC) sigue siendo una de las enfermedades infecciosas crónicas infantiles más frecuentes en todo el mundo. Objetivo: Determinar las características clínicas y epidemiológica de otitis media crónica supurativa en pacientes pediátricos. Método: Cualitativo, descriptivo-Analítico, Retrospectivo, de corte transversal, no experimental. Resultados: grupo etario con más prevalencia fue con 50% los niños de 5 a 6, seguido con 35% pacientes de 7 a 8 años y por último con el 15% pacientes de 9 a 11 años. sexo con más prevalencia fue el género masculino con un 58% y el género femenino con un 42% mayor prevalencia de pacientes provino de la provincia del Guayas del cantón Guayaquil de las parroquias Tarqui, Ximena, Febres Cordero y Urdaneta. oído afectado con un 43% fue el derecho, con un 34% el izquierdo y con un 23% bilateralmente presencia de otorrea con un 46% Mucopurulenta, con el 28% Purulenta con el 11% Serosa, con el 10% sanguinolenta, 5% mucosa. 69% de pacientes si presentaron otalgia y un 31% no presentaron otalgia. 59% no presentaron hipoacusia sensorial, con el 30% si presentaron y un 11% no se realizó audiometría. con 59% si presentaron Hipoacusia conductiva, con el 30% no presentaron y con el 11% no realizaron audiometría.
