Comportamiento clínico de la tuberculosis pulmonar en el Hospital Jaime Roldós Aguilera

La tuberculosis es la enfermedad infecciosa humana más importante que existe
en el mundo, a pesar de los esfuerzos que se han invertido para su control en la última
década. Objetivo: determinar las características clínicas de la tuberculosis pulmonar en
los pacientes diagnosticados en el Hospital “Jaime Roldós Aguilera” del Cantón
Ventanas. Los Ríos, de Enero a Diciembre del 2015.
Método: se realizó un estudio descriptivo, analítico, interpretativo en pacientes
del Hospital “Jaime Roldós Aguilera” del Cantón Ventanas. Los Ríos. Periodo de Enero
a diciembre del 2015. El universo de estudio se constituyó por todos los pacientes con el
diagnóstico bacteriológico de tuberculosis pulmonar. La muestra se conformó por un
total de 12 pacientes. Se revisaron las fichas epidemiológicas registradas en el
departamento de estadística del Hospital que constituyeron la fuente secundaria de
datos. Se aplicó una encuesta que constituyó la fuente primaria que incluyó variables
cualitativas y cuantitativas. Resultados: el grupo de edad más afectado fue el de 25-34
años y predominó el sexo masculino. Predominando al diagnóstico de los pacientes, los
casos nuevos seguido de la recaída; no se registró ni fracaso, ni recuperado y la
condición de los casos al final del tratamiento fue la de
curado. Conclusiones: incremento de los conocimientos sobre el comportamiento de
tuberculosis en el Hospital “Jaime Roldós Aguilera” del Cantón Ventanas. Tuberculosis is the most important human infectious disease in the world, despite the

Method: a descriptive, analytical and interpretive study was carried out in
patients from the "Jaime Roldós Aguilera" Hospital of Canton Ventanas. The rivers.

the patients with the bacteriological diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis. The sample
consisted of a total of 12 patients. We reviewed the epidemiological records registered
in the statistical department of the Hospital that constituted the secondary source of
data. A survey was applied that constituted the primary source that included qualitative
and quantitative variables. Results: the most affected age group was 25-34 years old
and the male gender predominated. Predominating the diagnosis of patients, new cases
followed by relapse; Was neither recorded nor failed or recovered and the condition of
the cases at the end of the treatment was that of curing. Conclusions: increased
knowledge about the behavior of tuberculosis in the Hospital "Jaime Roldós Aguilera"
of Canton Ventanas.
