He is known that approximately between 10% and 20% of women worldwide have at least one episode of urinary tract infection. Certain factors make this group of patients more susceptible, such as sexual activity, the shorter urethra, use of spermicides, intrauterine devices, etc. Urinary tract infection is the morphological or functional alteration of th e urinary tract caused by pathogenic bacteria. The objective of the present research was to determine the frequent bacterial strains associated with infections of urinary tract in women of childbearing age from 20 to 40 years, attending to undergo urine tests in the laboratory of clinical analysis solidarity. The study was observational, descriptive transversal character. He was the elementary and microscopic urine (EMO), the urine culture in which were planted in different selective media, was isolated bacterial strain causing the infection and then antibiogram was performed to determine antibiotic sensitivity. Of the 152 analyzed urine samples, got that 78% of samples had bacteria gram-negative and 22% Gram-positive bacteria. Within the gram negative, have to the Escherichia coli represents 42% of the total strains isolated, Klebsiella 35%, and Citrobacter freundii 3%, while within the Group of the Gram-positive strains of Staphylococcus saprofitico represents the strains of Staphylococcus aureus 8% and 12%. Antibiotics which presented more susceptible bacterial strains were Ceftazdima, nitrofurantoin, Amikacin, Ceftriaxone, by which it can be said that they can be placed as the drugs of choice for the treatment of urinary tract infections
