Resumen
Agricultural gypsum has been used as a soil corrective to provide root increase through the percolation of elements such as potassium and magnesium to the deeper layers of the soil, reduction of aluminum toxicity, as well as an increase in calcium and sulfur in the soil, and consequently provide crops that are more resistant to weather conditions with less chance of decreasing productivity. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of increasing doses of gypsum in relation to its mobility into the soil profile after six months of application, in a Oxisol with a very clayey texture. The experimental design was a randomized block with five treatments (gypsum doses): 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 Mg ha-¹, applied on the surface, with four replications. The following evaluations were made: pH-CaCl2, the contents of exchangeable Ca, Mg and Al, in addition to the available K. The application of gypsum, after six months of application, significantly influenced only on the levels of Ca the other items did not show significant changes.
