Resumen
The correct positioning of the genetic material aiming at the optimization of productivity is important for the soybean-corn crop system. For this, the harmonization of maturation cycles, sowing times and cultivars available on the market must meet the necessary requirements, so that the arrangement of this system becomes viable to the next crop to be implanted. The work sought to identify which sowing season would be most adequate to make the production feasible within the crop / second crop arrangement according to the edaphoclimatic characteristics of the region of Dois Vizinhos - PR, in order to express the maximum productive potential of the corn crop and economic viability of the system. The work was conducted at the experimental nit of the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, Campus Dois Vizinhos, in the 2016/2017 harvest. The experimental design was randomized blocks, composed of nine corn sowing times, the result of different materials and soybean sowing times. The yield components were evaluated for maize crop and the biomass production of the Brachiaria sp. Grass was quantified, as well as determined economic indicators in order to evaluate which season gives better financial returns to the producers, simulating two systems: (A) - farmer which had all agricultural implements for cultivation; and (B) - farmer who contracts the services for cultivating the system. Data were evaluated by Statigraphics 4.1. In this way, it can be concluded that the yield of maize leaves, in the case of the evaluated hybrid, is higher when sown in the second half of January, to the detriment of the others. The results of MS of Brachiaria sp., Are variable, not allowing to establish a pattern according to the sowing times of corn. The profitability of the crop guarantees a higher return in the first two seasons for system A and system B. Thus, it is recommended for the producers of the south-west of Paraná, earlier crop sowings and earlier soybean materials, which allow better technical and economical viability of the maize crop.
