Resumen
The production of food has undergone impressive modifications from the middle of the XX century with the advent of the modernization of agriculture. As a result, family agriculture has gradually lost one of its main characteristics the production of food for own consumption, giving space in the present time for the production of high scale raw material to be delivered to the food industry. Faced with this reality, family farmers are being inserted into productive relations of dependence to large agribusiness corporations, giving up the eating habits that characterized their culture and inserting in their meals processed foods, from the industry. Aspects such as the specialization of the productive processes and the easy access to foods in supermarkets and other points of commercialization contributed with this process of change. In this context, the objective of this study was to understand how the process of productive and food change occurred in the daily life of family farmers of the Linha Jacutinga community, located in the municipality of Dois Vizinhos, Paraná, Brazil, as well as to analyze which factors caused a transition in the production of food from community farmers and identify resistance strategies. To better understand the studied universe, an exploratory study was carried out in the second half of 2017. Subsequently, the survey was conducted in the period from March to June of 2018 through individualized visits to 19 farmers. During these visits, interviews with farmers were conducted through a simplified questionnaire. For analysis the work was structured through three categories: a) Family farming; b) food systems and c) peasant resistance. Through this study it can be seen that there was an intense specialization of the analyzed rural properties focused on milk production. This fact gradually resulted in food changes in farmers' daily lives, inserting processed foods into their meals. Strategies for combining agricultural and non agricultural activities were identified as a form of family income diversification. However, these strategies are not characterized as a form of resistance to agri food systems. It is concluded that with the expansion of agri food systems there was a need for farmers to specialize in a production that generates more profitability, leaving or not in the background the cultivation of food for family consumption.
