A gestão e a aplicação dos recursos do PRONAF em três propriedades da agricultura familiar no município de Mariópolis - PR

Abstract

This study has as its main theme family farming and the management and application of PRONAF resources in three properties of family farming in the municipality of Mariópolis - PR. Year after year, family farming moves billions of reais, and this is only possible due to the large number of small and medium producers that integrate family farming making it a fundamental expansion sector for the Brazilian economy. Over the years, public policies were created and remodeled in order to increase the growth of the agricultural segment. After years of struggle, in 1996 the National Program for Strengthening of Family Farming (PRONAF) was created, the main purpose of which is to promote development in small rural enterprises, as well as providing improvements in the quality of life of these farmers,therefore, the present research has as its general objective to analyze the management and application of PRONAF resources in three family farms in the municipality of Mariópolis - PR.. In order to meet the proposed objective, a multiple case study was used through a qualitative and descriptive approach, which the data collection instrument took place through an interview composed of 42 questions. The place of study was the family farming properties in the municipality of Mariópolis - PR. From the data collected, it was concluded that family farmers who use the PRONAF credit, do not use management tools and do not even plan how to apply the acquired resources. It could be seen that family farmers identify the benefits in their properties and in their productive activities after hiring PRONAF.
