dc.description.abstractThe present work deals with the updating of a measuring instrument, responsible for the speed control of vehicles as a function of time. The following act is necessary for the non-feasibility of maintenance of the gearbox of the vehicle, however causing the replacement of the same and generating a new configuration. It consists of replacing the old fully mechanical instrument with a more modern electronic system, meeting the needs of the new gearbox, optimizing the vehicle and instrument, checking the same, adapting the rules and regulations of Inmetro, in order to provide the legalization of the vehicle in accordance with the Technical Regulation, dedicated to the control of chronographers, which is available in the Inmetro Ordinance nº201 / 2004.
