Resumen
The natural deterioration of water distribution systems causes a loss in the quality of the water supply (insufficient flow/pressure at the points of consumption, high water loss, interruptions in supply, poor water quality, etc.) and it increases the costs in operation and maintenance of the hydraulic network. The water management companies need more financial resources to maintain adequate supply and, in most cases, immediate and partial solutions are based on the cost/benefit rather than solve the specific problem. Even knowing that the ideal would be the rehabilitation of all deteriorated components, this solution is not financially viable. In this way, the present work proposes the development of a decision support system, based on fuzzy logic, that serves as a subsidy for sanitation companies in the elaboration of action plans aimed at the rehabilitation of the water supply network through a more comprehensive solution that considers beyond the costs of physical interventions, the minimization of leakage in the hydraulic networks, the age of the pipes and the reduction of negative impacts (disturbances) to the region of implantation. The methodology was applied in a fictitious network in two ways to better understand the evaluation criteria and the results were satisfactory for the analyzed parameters.
