Airports play a fundamental role in meeting the growing demands of globalization,
which require shorter trips and better organization, so they are able to understand
the social, economic and physical reality of the region in which they are located.
However, this evolution is not being observed in Trujillo, since the current airport is
facing substantial and determining problems for its development, this motivated the
development of this research and its respective architectural proposal.
The proposal of the "Architectural Project for the new International Airport of Trujillo",
responds to the main problem of the bad and inadequate location of the existing
airport, due to the fact that it is located in an area of greater vulnerability to
unfavorable climatological factors and dangers of natural phenomena. , in addition
to being immersed within the city of Huanchaco, preventing its expansion and
affecting the health of the population. All this prevents the economic, tourist and
agro-export development of the north of the country.
Therefore, this unique and innovative airport project will mark a milestone in the
development of airports in Peru, both formally and functionally, because it is based
on fundamental axes and pillars of sustainability of LEED certification, Identity and
Social Inclusion, facilitating the connection with the most important economic,
tourist, cultural and political centers of Peru and the world, allowing economic,
tourist, social and cultural development of our city and the region.
