Acute respiratory failure, known as Respiratory Distress Syndrome, is a complication of frequent respiratory origin on the Results page: premature infants; as a result of anatomical and biochemical immaturity due to a deficit of pulmonary surfactant, a surfactant substance that lines the alveoli; which did not perform its occasional function in the exchange of gas and collapse. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 2.6 million children in their first month of life died ie 46%, the majority is due to premature births, asphyxia during childbirth due to respiratory failure and infections. Statistics of the INEC 2016, in Ecuador the first cause of Infant mortality was the Respiratory difficulty of newborn with 484 cases. The nursing staff plays an important role, due to the fact that the work is fast, quality and humanistic for the quick recovery of the newborn. The objective of this research was to design the process of recovery of the mother with sexually transmitted infection and its relationship with the theory of basic needs of Virginia Henderson, which in relation to the clinical case is in respiration, feeding and thermoregulation. The methodology used is a descriptive type, with sources of bibliographic research as articles from scientific journals.
