Resumen
Music is a universal language that develops as a cultural product within a society to become its intangible legacy. The historical process of Ecuadorian music has as its fundamental basis the management of different genres in a small geographic space. Nevertheless, these have not evolved in their techniques of instrumental and harmonic execution. The electric guitar offers ways for the modernization of native musical genres such as El Pasillo and El Sanjuanito, based on musical resources of the jazz genre, the same ones that are realized through different techniques of instrumental execution. Techniques such as picking, hammer-ons, pull - offs, tapping are fundamental to the reharmonization of the genres mentioned since these are based on different formats or styles of jazz. We understand as musical transcription to the execution of a composition in a different tone of the original. Also, to transfer a work in its all real, executing it thus with current or contemporary techniques for an electric guitar. The transcription of Ecuadorian music to another harmonic format, seeks the didactic insertion of new musical analyzes. Furthermore, taking as reference to a foreign musical genre, through the careful study of its most representative exponents. The new arrangements that will aim to be performed on the electric guitar should not damage or modify in any way the essence of Ecuadorian music, on the opposite its only purpose is to enrich it, and to be a contribution for the new generations of local musicians.
