Resumen
In recent years, government agencies have recognized adolescence as a vulnerable stage in the life of a human being and have emphasized sex education as a protective factor for dealing with adolescent pregnancy, which has become one of the most revelant problems, placing Ecuador with one of the highest rates in Latin America. It has been shown that in the education of Ecuador there is a significant lacking in the classroom and in the approach to sex education, which is why this research is focused on knowing the views of teachers from schools in the city Basin regarding sexuality and sexual education of their adolescent students through a qualitative approach, the information collected through four focus groups with teachers in schools both fiscal and individuals in the city. The results demonstrate the lack of knowledge of sexual and reproductive rights which leads to no practical thereof, generating a significant gap between what documents promulgated by government agencies with what actually happens in the classroom.
