dc.description.abstractThe stage of adolescence is a special period in the development of people, because it is the transition from childhood to adulthood and is characterized by a series of changes that affect the physical, psychological, emotional and social; changes that could generate states of instability in the individual, among which is the presence of anxiety behaviors that affect the integral development of the subject. In virtue of this premise, the development of the present investigation was proposed, which aimed to inquire about the levels of anxiety that teenagers who attend the baccalaureate in the city of Cuenca-Ecuador have. The study of quantitative approach, used as an instrument the Scale of Anxiety Manifest CMAS-R and was applied to a sample of 286 students of a tax school. The results revealed that 57.4% of students present a medium level of anxiety, 24.6% a high level and 9.8% report a worrisome level. The type of anxiety that obtained a higher level were Social Concerns / Concentration and Physiological Anxiety.
