Resumen
In the present work on the bioadsorbent capacity of the pseudostem of Dominico harton to retain hydrocarbons of the water, specifically of the diesel fraction, for which the international norm ASTM F-726 for absorbing materials was applied and they determined the residual concentrations of hydrocarbons in the water by UV Spectrometry to 334nm. The efficiency of reduction of hydrocarbons reached 97.42% using particles of 6x6 cm; it was also analyzed the performance of pseudostem sorption, getting that it can retain up to 8.91 times of its weight, being this capacity even greater than some commercial sorbents, converting it into an efficientbioadsorbent hydrocarbons of contaminated water under laboratory conditions. The resulting pseudostem with retained hydrocarbons was used as a substrate to cultivate P. ostreatus, obtaining a growth limited by the high concentrations of hydrocarbons in the Pseudostem. It is recommended to test this biosorbent material in a pilot test under real conditions of contamination.
