Resumen
This research project aimed to study the thermal behavior generated by the hyperventilated
disc brake system, on the front axle of the vehicle test, through the implementation of infrared
sensors and several types of brake pads. It was verified the behavior of the brake system In this
way. The work was developed from bibliographical research in which a theoretical analysis of
research was carried out previously executed. For this purpose, a base reference for the
investigation was elaborated. A monitoring system was implemented using some electronic
components, sensors infrared, and software with which the thermal behavior of the brake
system was obtained through experimental tests carried out. Data was also acquired with the
different brake pads which statistical analysis was carried out using the software Statgraphics.
So more accurate data was obtained from the two brake systems. It was concluded that
hyperventilated brake system behaved effectively with brake pads of accessible costs and
showed better performance in thermal behavior as in distances of braking. It was compared with
the base data obtained with the ventilated brake system. For this reason, it is recommended to use
the hyperventilated brake system in conjunction with brake pads. Adequate brake helps to
safeguard the life of the occupants of the vehicle, thus avoiding traffic accidents due to system
failures.
