Resumen
The present investigation is about a management model for the strengthening of the milk value chain in the San Isidro parish, Morona canton, province of Morona Santiago, period 2019-2024, which purpose is to contribute to the improvement of relationships between the members of the dairy chain. Within this work, a model of the dairy supply chain of the parish and a SWOT analysis were carried out, to establish the current situation of the San Isidro parish. A survey was applied to the producers to assess the quality of the service offered by the suppliers and distributors of the milk value chain. The results reflected that: the producers are dissatisfied due to many shortcomings such as quality, price and service offered to the consumer, it was also found that producers are very dissatisfied with distributors, because the price they receive per liter of milk is below those established by law in the country. There is a considerable supply of milk in the parish, for this reason an action plan was developed with different strategic and business activities for the suppliers as well as for the buyers; each activity consists of an objective, indicator and a periodicity of time. It is concluded that, by executing the proposed action plan for dairy cattle producers in the San Isidro parish, a better working relationship will be accomplished between the members of the dairy chain and thus improve the producer’s quality of life. It is recommended to implement the necessary productive infrastructure to be able to develop the processes of agroindustry of milk, always regulated under the technical criteria of food safety and security to strengthen the links of production and industrialization.
