Resumen
The research work entitled "Descriptive study of the relationship between attachment styles and the length of stay of early childhood boys and girls in a child development center in Valle de los Chillos in the period April-August 2022", had the objective is to analyze the relationship between attachment styles and the length of stay of early childhood children in a child development center in Valle de los Chillos. The research design is cross-sectional, the approach is mixed and is characterized by being observational, the sample of participants is 21 boys and girls aged between 3 to 5 years old, to whom the ASCT test (Attachment Story Completion Task) in its Spanish version as "Incomplete Stories", in order to determine the attachment style they have developed, the FF-SIL instrument was also used with parents and representatives of minors, to determine family functioning. When considering the results obtained, it was possible to identify whether there is a relationship between the length of stay of boys and girls in the children's center with the style of attachment they have, since it is shown how minors who have a prolonged stay tend to develop an insecure style, and conversely children who develop a secure style are those who attend the center on a regular schedule.
