dc.description.abstractIn Ecuador, the use of alternative energies such as solar and especially wind is very low, so much so that in 2019 only 21.15 MW was generated by wind power plants, a value much lower than in other Latin American countries and other more developed nations of the world. Factors such as the high cost of solar panels and wind turbines, the little emphasis that universities give within the academic curriculum to the use and operation of renewable energies, contribute to this type of energy being little known and used within our country. With this technical project we want to make available to teachers and students of the Universidad Politecnica Salesiana Guayaquil headquarters an additional tool for the study of renewable energies, which allows them to take the knowledge learned in theory to practice, this by installing a small capacity wind turbine.
