Resumen
The purpose of the research Sexism in free play is to analyze the sexist stereotypes in the free
play of children in early childhood education. It is important to identify how early childhood
education students reproduce and develop their gender stereotypes through the sharing or
bonding that occurs through free play between boys, girls or both.
The problem evidenced was the sexist stereotypes that boys and girls have when playing
freely and carrying out activities directed by the teacher. The research question is: What are the
sexist stereotypes observed in the free and semi-directed games carried out by children in early
education? The methodology implemented is qualitative, since the entire educational
community and those involved were observed. To keep track I used field diaries and interviews
with teachers and the director. The main finding is that students have impregnated stereotypes,
such as the categorization of objects and activities for men and women.
