Over time, the stock market has undergone several changes that generate controversy among consumers and sellers; one of the main ones is the evolution of prices in relation to the shares of the most liquid companies in the country. Therefore, the present research work seeks to develop a technical analysis of the stock exchange quotations of the liquid shares negotiated in the Quito Stock Exchange from 2018 to September 2019 through Japanese candlestick charts as a mechanism of stock exchange interpretation, in order to perfect the decision making regarding the purchase and sale of shares. As there is a lack of stock market culture in Ecuador, investors to interpret trend changes and invest or not in the stock market titles, for many years has been used bar charts or also known as "sawtooth", in which the maximum and minimum prices are used, therefore it is not so feasible to make stock market decisions; the Japanese candlestick chart provides three-dimensional information about the prices of its shares, therefore it is possible to predict the value of the stock in a more accurate way, creating profitable and winning models to carry out investment projects.
