dc.description.abstractClonal propagation of pejibaye palm (Bactris gasipaes H. B. K.) was obtained by calhis culturing from shoot apices of young filed-grown plantlets on a modified Murashige and Skoog medium. Callus was induced from cultured explants in a medium lvith 2, 4 Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and 6 Benzilaminopurine or a naphthalene-acetic acid and Kinetin in the dark, Plantlets were obtained with a recultured callus in a medium devoid of hormones in the light.
