El propósito de este proyecto es reconocer y rescatar el valor de la tradición campesina artesanal en el municipio de Charalá, Santander, homenajeando la memoria y vida de las mujeres tejedoras y campesinas quienes mantienen viva la herencia textil Guane. Para esto, se documenta y analiza la Memoria Histórica del oficio artesanal textil en Santander, de la mano de quienes han heredado los vestigios de la historia y la tejeduría textil. El proyecto es un espacio museográfico, a modo de exhibición temporal, en donde se dará a conocer y se exaltará el legado que este colectivo artesanal se esfuerza por proteger. Este espacio tendrá la función de ser un mediador entre: los relatos y (vivencias) de las comunidades campesinas artesanales y aquella parte de la población que desconoce del tema y desea aprender y profundizar sobre esta tradición. Así mismo, este espacio de conversación surge con el fin de complementar la historia con relatos y anécdotas que reflejan la capacidad femenina de resistencia y supervivencia, aquella que a veces no se encuentran en los archivos o libros de historia. The purpose of this project is to recognize and rescue the value of the artisanal peasant tradition in the municipality of Charalá, Santander, paying tribute to the memory and life of the weavers and peasants who keep alive Guane textile heritage. For this, historical memory is documented and analyzed textile craftsmanship in Santander, from the hand of those who have inherited the vestiges of history and textile weaving. The project is a museum space, as a temporary exhibit, where the legacy will be made known and exalted which this craft collective is striving to protect. This space will serve as a mediator between: the stories and (experiences) of the artisanal peasant communities and that part of the population that is unfamiliar with the subject and wants to learn and deepen about this tradition. In addition, this space for conversation is created in order to complement the story with stories and anecdotes that reflect the capacity of women¿s resistance and survival, that which is sometimes not found in the archives or history books.
