Resumen
This research investigates the ways in which the inhabitants in the San Juan de Sumapaz - Pandi transect have inhabited the geoforms during the first two decades of the 21st century. The work is nourished by the concepts of habitat, inhabiting, territoriality and the study of geomorphology. Five categories of inhabiting the geoforms were identified; the hilly mountain landscapes and colluviums, structural slopes, urban geoforms, transitory inhabitants and from the ecological point of view. The project analyzes the relationship between the different economic activities of the transect and the geoforms, and finally describes the territorial processes in the area. For the analysis, GIS tools, cartography, Census data and other sources of information from the State were used. Secondary information was consulted, participant observation methods were used, and semi-structured interviews were conducted, several of them by cellphone. The Relational Events for Landscape Analysis Methodology MERAP allowed identifying the main events that have modified the ways of inhabiting these geoforms. The work concludes that mountain geoforms make possible different ways of inhabiting due to their variety of climates, soils, among other characteristics that favor the economic dynamics of the region, but also make armed conflict possible. Territorial conflicts not only have been due to ownership of the area's resources, but also due to its strategic location, which shows the importance of regional analysis, in this case the transect. These conflicts have mainly affected women. Finally, the alluvial geoforms associated with the Sumapaz River are a subject of dispute between multinationals and residents.
