dc.description.abstractLynne Beckles was secretary to Sir High Wooding from 1952 to 1963. Following on this she became executive secretary of the Nursing Council of Trinidad and Tobago, a post which she held for thirty years. In 1994 she was awarded the Public Services Medal of Merit, silver, in recognition of her work and contribution to public service, through her position in the Nursing Council.
