Tiempo, espacio y narración: filosofía e historiografía: prolegómenos para una hermenéutica ontológica

Abstract

La Historiografía Crítica actual ya no quiere dotar de sentido la vida humana por medio de grandes relatos, ahora pone a prueba las formas de racionalidad adoptadas en los modelos que guían al historiador. El pasado ya no es una entidad metafísica, una sustancia independiente de la conciencia, sino una creación del propio historiador. No más metafísica, no más ontología. Lo que importa ahora es el lugar social de enunciación. La historiografía constituye así una especie de des-mitologización, de develamiento de todo aquello que nos condiciona como sujetos de conocimiento. Todo es relativo, epistémico, a-ontológico. Nos vamos quedando sin la posibilidad de una filosofía primera y universal… Debemos preguntarnos, sin embargo, ¿quién des-mitologiza al desmitologizante? En este ensayo proponemos que es necesario volver a esta búsqueda ontológica fundamental, ocuparnos de ella nuevamente, hacer, digamos, hermenéutica ontológica, regresar a la pregunta, no por el significado sino por el sentido, búsqueda que se ha planteado tradicionalmente en la filosofía e, implícitamente, en la literatura como poiesis, como creación… Se trata nuevamente de poner en el centro nuestra propensión dramática y hablar de los héroes que hemos querido ser. Para ello hacemos una reflexión primera, de carácter metafísico, que versa sobre el espacio y el tiempo como categorías a priori del entendimiento y, por tanto, como condiciones de posibilidad del saber en general y del saber histórico en particular. Esta primera indagatoria constituye, en realidad, una metafísica del tiempo y del espacio que conduce a la narratividad: si el tiempo es instante y el instante es memoria fundacional, sujeta a las veleidades del azar, y si la memoria está ubicada, es decir, si los recuerdos están espacializados, entonces tiempo y espacio, pasado y lugar, juntos encuentran una solución poética –creativa– en la narrativa…

The current Critical Historiography no longer wants to give meaning to human life through great stories, now tests the forms of rationality adopted in the models that guide the historian. The past is no longer a metaphysical entity, a substance independent of consciousness, but a creation of the historian himself. No more metaphysics, no more ontology. What matters now is the social place of enunciation. Historiography thus constitutes a kind of de-mythologization, of unveiling everything that conditions us as subjects of knowledge. Everything is relative, epistemic, a-ontological. We are running out of the possibility of a first and universal philosophy... We must ask, however, who de-mythologizes the de-mythologizing? In this essay we propose that it is necessary to return to this fundamental ontological quest, to deal with it again, to make ontological hermeneutics, to return to the question, not of meaning but about sense, a search that has traditionally arisen in philosophy and, implicitly in literature as poiesis, as creation... It is again to put in the center our dramatic propensity and talk about the heroes we have wanted to be. For this we make a first reflection, of a metaphysical character, which is about space and time as a priori categories of understanding and, therefore, as conditions of possibility of knowledge in general and of historical knowledge in particular. This first inquiry is, in fact, a metaphysics of time and space that leads to narrativity: if time is instant and instant is foundational memory, subject to the whims of chance, and if memory is located, that is, If the memories are spatialized, then time and space, past and place, together find a creative, poietic, solution in the narrative...
