Resumen
Abstract.
This work presents an optimal solution for the manufacturing process using advanced technology
that reduces time to get a functional prototype with minimal waste of material, increasing the
accuracy and quality of the manufacturing process of designing a prosthesis that mimics the
natural movement middle and distal phalanges in case of loss thereof.
The problem solution approach must guarantee to maintain the standards that the prosthesis
required as a product ranging from material selection, to the choice of methods to manufacture
multijointed underactuated mechanisms.
The work carried out to develop this prosthesis with anthropomorphic characteristics and focused
to the Mexican population is based on the methodology QFD (Quality Function Deployment),
establishing performance specifications and operational requirements that provide quality and
performance, that involves creating a model with position of parameters, velocity and acceleration
in the phalanges, leading to the conceptualization that provides the detail design acting directly on
engineering drawings up to the CAD (Computer Aided Drafting), generating qualities give the
design a physical appearance to reduce weight. During this stage it is advantageous to have
simulation and modeling tools that let you view the technology needs as it increases the
complexity of CAD model used for the design, also use a program that allows for finite element
calculations in this case ANSYS ®, establish a model simulation software ADAMS ® and effects of
the manufacturing process simulation package is used to manufacture the prototype as ProDesing
® and MasterCAM ® just to name a few
